My name is Samantha Spasoff—Sam for short! As a self-taught graphic designer, I take great pride in my creativity and ability to think outside the box.

 

After graduating from Penn State University in May 2025, I began working as a Graphic Design Intern at Riddell in Chicago, Illinois—the leading manufacturer of football helmets and protective sports equipment, trusted by over 75% of NFL players. This opportunity has significantly strengthened my design skills while allowing me to collaborate with experienced professionals in a fast-paced, industry-leading environment. During my senior year at Penn State, I served as a student graphic designer for the Penn State Men’s Lacrosse Team, where I honed my ability to produce dynamic and engaging visual content under tight deadlines. My work with SaveTheDateLLC further sharpened my creative approach, as I developed custom designs tailored to a wide range of client needs. Additionally, my experience at the District Photo Shutterfly Hub provided valuable insight into the production side of the creative process, deepening my understanding of design from concept to completion.

 

Entrepreneurial experience has also played a significant role in my growth as a designer. Launching and successfully running my own small business has allowed me to showcase my artistry while honing my ability to manage projects, communicate effectively with clients, and bring creative visions to life from concept to completion. These experiences have strengthened my adaptability, creativity, and problem-solving skills.
